How to get more FPS In Your Games

When playing games, FPS or Frames Per Second is crucial so that your game is smooth and doesn't lag! FPS is one of the most important things in order to have an amazing gaming experience!

So in this post we'll be helping you out get the most FPS on your system, in your favorite game!

So in order to get smoothness you will have to sacrifice on Quality unless you have a beastly system with a high-end GPU and CPU!

But you can easily achieve a balance between these 2 so that the game doesn't look super crappy and also has a decent FPS!

First off we would recommend you to check your monitor's hertz!

That's how many frames per second your monitor supports! Most displays are 60 hertz and so you won't notice a difference between 60 FPS and 120 FPS, but you will notice a massive difference between a 30 FPS and 60 FPS!

Alright after you've known your monitor's capabilities let's dig in!

But First

We recommend you to first go ahead and update your GPU drivers! If you have an NVIDIA card you can go to their site or download Geforce Experience. For AMD you can go to the site and download the drivers! Making sure your drivers are up to date is very important! If you don't know what graphics card you have then all you have to do is press ctrl+alt+delete and you should see something like this pop-up

Next click on task manager

And you'll see an another Windows pop-up, like the one below

Next click on the performance tab and then scroll all the way down, and you should see GPU 1, below which you will see the name of your GPU.

Next thing you should is that if you own a laptop, (if you can) plug it in to charge it so that you can achieve maximum power otherwise Windows seems to throttle your CPU when on battery, in order to increase battery life!

Let's Optimize!

So keep this in mind before optimizing the game! In order to get more FPS you'll have to lower your graphics settings which will give you lower graphical details!

All games have different graphics settings!

So you'll have to tinker mostly.

In order to increase FPS you can reduce things like resolution (which effects quality quite a bit) and 3D resolution!

Some games run better on full screen mode so make sure you've got that enabled! If you're game seems to be running on fairly low FPS we recommend you to reduce the textures to the lowest settings however keep crucial things like view distance on high! Also disable unnecessary settings like water graphics and etc, as these help improve the FPS drastically!

If you don't want to get into the fatigue of manually adjusting and trying these settings you can try out software like NVIDIA Experience that automatically optimizes your graphics settings according your computer's specifications!

And that's it!
