How the Future of Smartphones and Tablets be?

Recently we saw Apple announce their new iPad series. And we saw that the new iPad features Apples now powerhouse the A12 X Bionic Chip. A processor that Apple manufactures itself.

We also saw that how we are moving towards flexible phones!

If we take these 2 things and merge them we can guess that how our future smartphones might be.

Let's see what do I mean.

Apple's new chips are extremely powerful, they have amazing GPU and amazing Processing Power as well. In fact they are so powerful that Apple says its new iPad Pros are faster than 92% of all laptops, tablets, and convertible PCs sold in the last year. That shows how powerful the new chips are !

Apple's new iPads have an impressive GPU as well, it's so impressive that Apple says that the built-in GPU in the A12 X Bionic Chip is as good as the one in the Xbox One S.

So even though the iPad is like ten times thinner and has no cooling fans it still has a more powerful GPU than the Xbox One which is much thicker, takes much more power and needs more cooling!

At this point the main thing that is limiting us is the software, the hardware is already here, there just aren't apps that can utilize this CPU at its best.

Soon enough, we will start seeing such power come up in more and more tablets, and that's a good thing because now we are going to see more 2 in 1 devices. Not a laptop tablet hybrid but a Tablet and Smartphone Hybrid.

How ?

Well we already know that Samsung will be releasing their flexible phone, which can fold into a phone and can also be the size of a tablet. We also got to see the first fold-able tablet by Royole.

Though Royole hasn't executed this idea in the best way, there is a lot of potential in

this idea!

If Samsung manages to execute this concept in an amazing way, we can expect to see more and more flexible phones coming to the market. These phones will basically be hybrids that can be folded into a phone and unfolded in to a tablet allowing more complex tasks.

If we pair this hybrid design with strong mobile chips like Apple's we can very well expect to see these hybrids phones rocket their way up high!

However currently there is one thing that is stopping us from reaching maximum productivity and maximum potential, and that is software. There just isn't any software that can take full advantage of the chips, not on iOS not on Android.

If we can see more powerful software that can take full advantage of these features, laptops can very well be gone. There will be no need of laptops as they won't be able to catch up very well!

In fact we can expects to see laptop like accessories, where there will be just empty chasy of a laptop with just a better I/O a physical keyboard and a mouse, to which one can basically just connect there hybrid phone, kinda like Razer's concept thing we saw at CES, but again for that we will need the software to be capable enough for making all of this seamless and possible!
