Many of us have seen a lot of concept designs of foldable phones, and now we're recently hearing a lot about Samsung's foldable phone.
However just recently in the A9 launch the CEO of Samsung, DJ Koh, himself gave some information about this amazing device that's coming up from Samsung's side.
Koh said the Galaxy F is both a phone and tablet. When folded it will be a compact 4.6-inch phone, but unfold the phone and its bendable OLED display extend to 7.3-inches - larger than some of the company’s Galaxy Tab tablet range.
The CEO did not however confirm or give information about any specifications to be seen in this new phone, however he said that when the phone will be unfolded it can be used as a tablet, and then be folded into a phone that can easily fit into your pocket.
Koh also stressed that the Galaxy F will not be a gimmick, he added owners will have a tablet with powerful multitasking abilities which folds into one of the most pocketable phones on the market.
Koh also stressed that the Galaxy F will be released globally, but he declined to give an idea of scale, only teasing: “Possibly when we start selling the foldable phone, it may be a niche market, but definitely, it will expand.”
The upcoming year is going to be filled with excitement in the tech-world due to the huge-redesign is Samsung's phones, and the Galaxy F is definitely a major phone that everyone will have their eyes on.
Maybe foldable screens are the next thing, just like the bezeless screens were the thing of 2017! Let's just hope that Samsung doesn't follow the trend of removing headphone jack!
