Recently MKBHD a tech Youtuber uploaded a video unboxing Red's flashy new smartphone the Red Hydrogen One, a phone that has been awaited for a long time.
The smartphone still isn't here to buy, however Red emailed every pre-oder asking if they wanted to participate in the 'Houdini Program' in which you'd get the device early and you'd basically help them report bugs and improve the software overall.
Now MKBHD had pre-ordered the phone and so he is one of the first tech Youtubers to get his hands on the Hydrogen One.
Since the phone was delayed it features last year's specifications, like the Snapdragon 835 and 6 GB Ram.
According to MKBHD the phone does have a holographic effect, however it's harder to show on camera. At the front the phone has a lot of cut out holes, one is for the camera, one is for the multi-color LED light, and the rest 2 we don't know yet.
However the phone does have a different side design and a different back design compared to normal phones. The side curve kind of design does help in gripping the phone.
At the back We see that the Red Hydrogen One has added a dual camera setup, it would be interesting to see the picture quality of that as well. We also see the Red logo on top of a straight line design. And then at the bottom we see some pins. These pins are probably for adding modules like in the Motorola's phones. That's something we have to see as well.
Overall there's quite going on over here and we're pretty excited to check on the phone!
